How are points of attention managed in the personal space menus?

Have you noticed a small red circle with an exclamation mark (!) next to certain menus in your personal space? No worries: these indicators are there to guide you. They simply signal that an action on your part is expected to complete your profile, finalise a listing, or respond to an ongoing request.

Here's what each warning means and how to make it disappear.

On the Dashboard

The "Dashboard" menu displays an exclamation mark as soon as at least one action is pending somewhere in your personal space. It's a global indicator that groups several situations:

  • Your profile is not sufficiently completed
  • You haven't added a profile photo
  • Your identity or phone number is not verified
  • One of your listings is incomplete
  • A listing requires a council registration number
  • You have a review pending write-up
  • A rental request is awaiting your response

In summary, as long as an exclamation mark is visible elsewhere in your personal space, it will also appear on the Dashboard. It's your main reminder that something needs your attention.

In the "My Account" menu

An exclamation mark appears on the "My Account" tab as long as one of the following sections is not fully completed.

Profile

Your profile is considered complete when all these details are filled in:

  • First and last name
  • Gender
  • Year of birth
  • Address
  • Time zone
  • Interests
  • Personality traits
  • Languages spoken

Go to the "Profile" section of your account to complete any missing fields.

Photo

If you haven't yet added a profile photo, a warning appears on the "My Account" menu as well as on the "Photo" section. Adding a photo reassures other members and increases your chances of receiving responses.

Trust

The "Trust" section displays an exclamation mark if one of these verifications has not yet been completed:

  • Identity verification
  • Mobile phone number verification

These verifications strengthen trust among the Roomlala community members.

Payouts

A warning appears if your payout information is not filled in or is invalid. This information is essential for receiving your payments if you are a host.

In the host space

The "Host Space" tab displays an exclamation mark when at least one of the following situations occurs.

Incomplete listings

If one of your listings is incomplete, a warning appears on both the main tab and the "My Listings" section. A listing may be considered incomplete if it's missing:

  • The description (property features or house rules)
  • Information about the neighbourhood (nearby amenities)
  • The property size
  • The amenities
  • The photos
  • The video
  • An up-to-date calendar

Completing your listings improves their visibility and inspires confidence in potential tenants.

Council declaration

For certain listings located in France, regulations require you to register your property with your local council. If this step has not yet been completed, a warning will remind you.

Taxation

If you are subject to tax obligations related to renting, an exclamation mark appears on the "Taxation" section as long as your tax information is not complete.

Reviews to write

After a rental, you may be invited to leave a review for your tenant. As long as this review has not been written, a warning appears on the "Reviews" section.

In the tenant space

The "Tenant Space" tab displays an exclamation mark in only one case: you have a review pending write-up. After a stay, you are invited to rate your host and the property. Go to the "Reviews" section to share your experience.

How to make these warnings disappear?

It's simple: just complete the requested action. As soon as the missing information is filled in or the pending action is completed, the exclamation mark automatically disappears.

In summary, here are the possible actions:

  • Complete your profile (personal information, photo, verifications)
  • Fill in your payout information
  • Finalise your listings (description, photos, calendar, etc.)
  • Complete your tax or declaration obligations if applicable
  • Write pending reviews after a rental

If a warning persists even though you believe you have completed everything, do not hesitate to contact our customer service who can assist you.
