How do I edit my profile?

Looking to update your personal details on Roomlala? It's quick and easy. Here is where to find each setting and how to change it.

Accessing your profile

Log in to your account, open your personal space and then go to the Profile section. Everything is managed from the left-hand menu, where each section groups a type of information.

What you can change

Several sections allow you to keep your account up to date:

• Profile: your title, first name, last name, year of birth, address, languages spoken, as well as your email address and password.
• Photo: add or change your profile picture to make your account more welcoming and reassuring.
• Verifications: get your email, mobile phone, and identity verified by uploading a form of ID. Your number is only shared in the event of a confirmed booking, and your proof of identity remains confidential.
• Bank details: provide your bank account details to receive your rent payments by transfer. This information is confidential and secure.
• Settings: manage your email and SMS notifications, newsletters and Roomlala special offers, as well as your billing information.

Changing your first or last name

As long as your identity has not been verified, you can freely change your first and last name in the Profile section.

Once your identity is verified, these two fields are locked and the message “Identity verified - modification not possible” is displayed. This is normal: your first name and last name must match your ID exactly.

Why this rule? On Roomlala, hosts and tenants trust each other even before meeting. Ensuring that every name matches a real and verified identity protects the entire community against fake identities and fraud. This is what allows everyone to book or host with complete peace of mind.

Saving your changes

Good news: your changes are saved automatically as soon as you leave a field. There is no button to click to confirm.

Why complete your profile?

A complete and verified profile inspires more trust in other members. The more detailed your profile, the higher your trust rating increases, which improves your chances of receiving booking requests or positive replies.

Rest assured: your contact details are never passed on to other members without your consent.
