Extending or shortening a rental BEFORE the start of the reservation
How do I modify my reservation ?
Before making any changes, it is recommended to discuss them directly with your hosting provider.
Go to your messaging system , to the discussion related to the reservation in question.
Click on the "Edit my reservation " button, adjust the dates or the number of people as needed, then click on "Confirm" .
If the hosting provider accepts the modification
If the hosting provider accepts your request, a new calculation of the total amount is carried out.
Roomlala will automatically refund or debit you for the difference.
Your reservation is then updated with the new information.
If the hosting provider refuses or does not respond
In case of refusal or no response within 48 hours , the requested changes will not be applied.
Your reservation will therefore remain unchanged .
If needed, you can cancel your reservation via the "Cancel" button in your message.
The refund will be made according to Roomlala's refund conditions .
⚠️ Check the host's validation
Make sure that the hosting provider has validated the change from their personal space .
A simple reply via messaging is not enough.
Once the change is validated, you will receive a confirmation email from Roomlala.
If you do not receive this email, it means that the change has not been taken into account.
If in doubt, contact customer service via the contact channels available on the website.
Extending or shortening a reservation AFTER the reservation has started
For rentals of less than 45 days
- Shortening the duration : it is not possible to shorten a rental agreement that has already started.
However, you can discuss this directly with your hosting provider in order to reach an agreement.
For short stays, the host receives the full rent 24 hours after your arrival . - Extending the duration : only the host can extend the rental from their personal space.
You simply need to ask him.
For rentals of more than 45 days
- Shortening the duration : as a tenant, you are the only one who can do this.
Log in to Roomlala , then go to your inbox .
Click on "Schedule" , then on the "Shorten Lease" button. - Extending the duration : only your host can extend your rental.
He needs to go to his own schedule and click on "Extend lease" .
⚠️ Important information
If you wish to leave before the end of your reservation period, you are not required to pay for the remaining months, unless a signed rental agreement provides for a one-month notice period.
In the absence of a signed contract, you can change your departure date directly from your schedule, at no extra cost .
On the other hand, if a rental agreement has been signed and it provides for a one-month notice period, you will have to pay for that month from the day you inform the host of your new departure date.
⚠️ If a due date has passed , it is not possible to change it .
If you are on a long-term payment plan , you can ignore payment reminder emails . The most up-to-date information is in your payment schedule.
