How do I update the availability in my calendar?

Keeping your calendar up to date ensures you only receive requests that match your actual availability, and allows you to adjust your rates based on the season. Here is how to access and manage it, step by step.

Accessing your calendar

Log in to your account, then click on the "Calendar" tab in your personal area menu. You will be taken to the My calendars page, which lists all your listings.

Click on the listing of your choice to open its calendar and edit it.

Reading your calendar

On the calendar, each day is displayed with a colour and marker indicating its status:

  • Blocked days (which you have made unavailable) appear greyed out.
  • Booked days are highlighted and link to the relevant booking.
  • Synchronised days with another site show the name of the source.
  • Available days display the nightly rate, with a colour that varies according to the seasonality you have set.

How does it work?

The principle is always the same: select a range of days on the calendar, then choose the desired action from the menu that appears at the bottom of the screen.

  • To make days unavailable, select the relevant dates, then click "Block".
  • To free up blocked days and make them available for booking again, select them, then click "Free up".
  • To apply a seasonal rate, select the desired days, then use the "Seasonality" menu. You can increase or decrease the rate by choosing a percentage relative to your base rate.

To modify your base rates and discounts, use the "Rates" link at the top of the calendar.

Keeping your calendar up to date

If your calendar has not been updated for more than a month, a reminder will appear and your listing will display a "Calendar needs updating" badge on the My calendars page. If your availability has not changed, simply click "My calendar is up to date" to confirm.

Synchronising your calendar

If you also list your accommodation on other sites, you can synchronise their calendars with Roomlala using the "Calendar synchronisation" option at the top of the calendar. Dates booked elsewhere will automatically be blocked on our site, and vice versa.

Good to know

Seasonal rates are only available if you accept rental periods of less than 30 days.
