How does Roomlala 's insurance work?
What is Roomlala 's ADAR-RL insurance?
The insurance protects tenants during their stay on Roomlala. It covers rentals throughout the European Union and Switzerland.
When and how does the insurance apply?
The guarantee applies automatically upon signing the Roomlala rental contract and paying the insurance premium.
It covers the tenant for the entire duration of their stay and ends:
- at the time of the tenant's departure,
- or upon handing over the keys to the owner.
The guarantees of ADAR-RL insurance
The insurance protects the tenant against material damage caused to the rented accommodation or to third parties.
a) Rental liability
Covers damage to the rented accommodation resulting from fire, water damage, explosion, or freezing. It also includes:
- expert fees,
- relocation costs,
- the landlord's loss of rental income.
Maximum: €500,000 .
b) Recourse from neighbours and third parties
Covers material damage caused to neighbors or third parties due to a disaster in the dwelling.
Maximum: €450,000 .
c) Accidental property damage
Covers accidental damage to furniture or equipment in the home.
Maximum: €4,000 with a deductible of €75 .
What is not covered by insurance
Some situations are not covered:
- damage caused intentionally or by an intentional act,
- wars, unrecognized natural disasters, or nuclear risks,
- epidemics and pandemics (including Covid-19),
- appliance malfunctions, cigarette burns, or damage caused by animals,
- theft of personal belongings of the tenant or the owner,
- Theft without forced entry in common areas.
How to claim compensation?
In the event of a disaster, you must:
- notify Roomlala by registered letter within 5 days of discovering the damage.

- a copy of the rental agreement,
- photos or condition reports,

Time limits for action
Any claim for compensation must be made within 2 years from the day you became aware of the loss.
This period can be interrupted if you initiate legal proceedings or if the insurer acknowledges its liability.
